Grand Opening of Sierra Vista's A. J. Bayless in July 1958
Bayless was located near the intersection of Fry Blvd. and North Ave. There was another grocery store, The Fry Grocery Store which was located across Fry from La Casita.
Are you kidding me? I just typed a long post about the history of grocery stores in Sierra Vista and it disappeared when I attempted to post it. Maybe i'll do it again. Right now i'm pissed.
where was this located? Was this Sierra Vista's only grocery store at this time?

DeleteI grew up in Sierra Vista shopping at Bayless with my parents. I would like to know when Bayless, Revco, and McCorys, closed down please?
ReplyDeleteYou're talking about the second Bayless location on South Carmichael Ave. I'll have to do research when that Bayless closed down. Thanks

ReplyDeleteWe came to S V in 1960. There was a second small store west of payless and a corner grocery across from Carmichael school. Thanks for the memories.
