On November 18, 1912 Oliver Fry with his two oldest sons, Tom and Erwin, arrived at the railroad siding in what is known now as Huachuca City. They brought a boxcar with supplies and livestock and made their way to the Fry homestead.

September 17, 1959....
...one of Sierra Vista's great pioneers passed away at the age of 88. Mr. Fry, at the age of 41, came to this area with his family to homestead 160 acres and start a new life for his family. Gateway Times article.
